Excel is a wonderful and powerful program.  Automating your oft used spreadsheets and applications offers convenience and accuracy.  The user can access very complicated and diverse spreadsheets in a simplistic and easy to use format.  Protection can be used to disallow alterations and only let the user add data as planned.

The spreadsheet below calculates oil well yield.  The user may add data but cannot make changes to the spreadsheet itself.  The user can print the work and perform various tasks by clicking on the appropriate buttons.

 

Complicated formulae can be created and used all the while maintaining the integrity of the worksheet.
